The **Indigenous Relations Lead** will be one of the leaders in our Nation Building.

Beyond the main duties of Indigenous Relations Lead, your skills across a variety of disciplines would be leveraged. We value experience in any of the following areas:

**We're looking at motivated individuals to**:

- Supporting and stewarding Cormorant’s relationships with past, current, and potential Indigenous community partners to achieve respectful, effective, and meaningful relationships and collaborations.
- Advising Cormorant’s public communications strategies through an Indigenous lens, fostering respectful, engaging, and positive Indigenous and Non-Indigenous relations and partnerships.
- Evaluating, overseeing, and stewarding Cormorant’s internal Indigenous-focused cultural sensitivity training and new employee onboarding processes.
- Advising Cormorant on our ongoing efforts to respectfully and appropriately weave Indigenous knowledge, customs, and traditions into our programs.
- Develop and execute strategies to establish positive, influential relationships and long-term meaningful economic partnerships with indigenous communities, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Obtain quotations from indigenous suppliers and subcontractors to support estimates;
- Prepare and maintain appropriate documentation to support estimate preparation and review;
- Coordinate with management and review estimates and create proposals;
- Assist in tendering procedures and review of contracts;
- Network with indigenous suppliers and subcontractors to maintain and develop professional business relationships;
- Prepare turnover packages when successful, to Construction management;

**Preferred Qualifications**
- General understanding of construction, electrical or civil estimating;
- Proficiency with spreadsheets;
- Experience interpreting design drawings;
- Experience in the infrastructure projects, powerline/substation construction industry is preferred;
- Post-secondary degree, diploma or equivalent in a related discipline would be considered an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience collaborating with multiple Indigenous communities.
- Experience with Indigenous - Non-Indigenous collaborations.
- Experience in policy and program development, implementation, and management.
- Experience in conflict resolution & communications.
- Demonstrated track record of successful leadership experience.
- Self-starter, requiring limited oversight, capable of independently identifying opportunities, creating strategies, and successfully implementing plans.
