**Gymalaya Newmarket **is a recreational gymnastics facility located in Newmarket, Ontario. Gymalaya was founded in 2008 and has been serving the York Region community for over 13 years. Gymalaya state-of-the-art facility is bright, clean, colorful, and fully equipped. Our professionally developed, the non-competitive curriculum is designed to build physical, mental, and social skills while having tons of fun. We have an **immediate opening** for a full-time or a part-time **Assistant Gym Manager **to oversee and teach our programs. We are looking for a mature team player that is reliable and ready to grow with us. Applicants must have a strong background in gymnastics or dance and outstanding customer service. An outgoing personality and a genuine passion for gymnastics and children is a must as well. A background in dance / fitness / cheerleading / Kinesiology is also an asset. Start Date: ASAP **Your responsibilities**: - Manage all the day-to-day operations of the facility - Provide outstanding customer service - Manage a team of coaches and assistants - Maintain the facility - Open and close facility - Teach gymnastics classes to young children (ages 4 months to 10 years), based on the lesson plans provided. - Supervise and lead birthday parties - Supervise and lead camps and other programs offered by us - Conduct and participate in our staff training meetings and clinics - Train new emplyees **You must have**: - **A proven record of teaching gymnastics, Acro dance, cheerleading, physical education**: - A big smile on your face and endless enthusiasm - Have an outgoing personality - Be passionate about working with young children and toddlers and teaching gymnastics. - Be comfortable working with infants - Have a flexible schedule and the ability to work one weekend day. - Be mature, reliable, and punctual - Be a great team player - Knowledge of the "Jack Rabbit Class" computer program is an asset. **What we offer**: - Competitive hourly wages - High energy and fun work environment - Internal growth potential - Opportunity to grow to a Gym Manager position - Team outings and fun events - Responsive and on-site management If this is the right fit for you and you are passionate about working at Gymalaya as an **Assistant Gym Manager**, we look forward to receiving your resume. ** Must be legally able to work in Canada to apply.** ** Must have a background in gymnastics/dance / physical education** **Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time Part-time hours: 15-35 per week **Salary**: $18.00-$21.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Flexible schedule - On-site parking Schedule: - 4 hour shift - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Morning shift - Weekend availability Supplemental pay types: - Bonus pay - Tips COVID-19 considerations: All COVID-19 health and safety protocols are in place.
