Accounting/administrative Clerk

**Job Summary**
**Duties**
- Process payroll for all employees and accounts payable for vendors and subcontractors, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Maintain employee/subcontractor records in the HRIS, including new hires, terminations, and changes in status.
- Analyze payroll data for discrepancies and resolve any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with team regarding accounts receivables and at risk customers.
- Utilize various accounting software systems such as Quickbooks, ADP, and Transplus and manage the flow of data between them.
- Prepare reports related to accounts receivable and payable metrics and compliance as needed.
- Audit company fuel and toll transactions on a daily basis to ensure accuracy.
- Audit customer orders, driver trips and subcontracted carrier trips to ensure all necessary documents are indexed and invoiced in a timely manner.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Clerk or similar role within a transportation company is preferred.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and accounting software is essential; experience with Quickbooks, ADP, and Transplus TMS is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and reporting.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive employee and company information.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members across departments.
