We are looking for technical experts who have:

**Key activities**:

- Conduct reviews and provide services to claimants, to determine whether work meets the criteria for eligibility as scientific research and experimental development in accordance with the legislation and related policy.
- Visiting claimants' premises or meeting with claimants online (virtually).
- Preparing reports that explain your rationale for whether or not the work meets the criteria for eligibility as SR&ED.
- Liaising with current and potential SR&ED claimants, including resolving disputed issues, and addressing concerns.
- Making presentations on the SR&ED program.
- Promoting and delivering existing and new Agency initiatives.

Qualified members and former members of the Canadian Forces who receive an offer of employment are not entitled to relocation costs from the CRA. They may, however, be entitled to a final relocation from the Department of National Defence.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, public health recommendations and restrictions are in place across Canada and may change depending on circumstances. Therefore, most work is done remotely and virtually. However, office attendance may eventually be required when normal operations resume. Virtual reporting may remain possible (occasionally), if operational requirements permit.

**Essential staffing requirement(s)**
To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements.

**Education**
- the CRA’s minimum education standard for position CO0007.

A postgraduate degree (master's degree or higher) from a recognized university* with specialization in one of the following science or engineering fields relevant to the Canada Revenue Agency’s Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) Program: computer science, computer engineering and software engineering.
- A recognized university is defined as a Canadian public or private institution that is recognized or authorized to grant degrees, diplomas, and other credentials by a public or private act of the provincial/territorial legislature or through a government-mandated quality assurance mechanism.

If your education credentials are foreign, you **must** have your documentation evaluated for Canadian equivalency by an organization that completes International Credential Evaluation.
