**OUR SOFTWARE AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT**:

The Department of Software and Information Technology Engineering at ÉTS is recruiting professors specializing in quantum computing to develop new areas of research and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- By joining this dynamic and growing department, the person hired will have the opportunity to leverage their expertise to contribute to the creation of a Quantum Research centre or institute and ensure its scientific direction as well as the development of new courses.

The person will be in charge of managing a team of researchers involved in different aspects of quantum computing.
MEIE research chair in quantum computing
This Quebec Research Chair is worth $200,000 per year for seven years and will fully finance research activity of the incumbent.
They may also benefit from the programs of the Canadian Foundation for Innovation (CFI) co-funded by the government of Quebec in order to deploy the infrastructure necessary to carry out their research program.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must hold a Doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in a related field, an engineering diploma is an asset.
- An industrial experience or experience conducting research in close collaboration with industry is an asset;
- Must demonstrate excellent research and teaching skills.
- Be proficient in French (oral and written), in compliance with the ÉTS Language Policy (in French), or demonstrate a willingness to learn French and enter into a French training program with the support of ÉTS.

**COMPENSATION**:
