Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator

**RESPONSABILITIES
**Research protocols**
- Understand all clinical research protocols for the studies in which they collaborate, explaining the specifics and ensuring compliance with the protocol
- Act as the primary resource for questions on clinical research protocols in the absence of the coordinator.
**Supporting a Clinical Research Coordinator**
- Explaining to patients the information needed to participate in the study
- Responding to questions from pharmaceutical clients or project managers
**Compliance with study deadlines and documentation requirements**
- Prepare, complete and file research documents (source data, medical file)
- Monitor and maintain eCRF
- Prepare and follow up source document for monitoring and audits
- Ensure quality control of research and pharmacy files
- Respond to queries and involving the Clinical Research Coordinator as required
- Ensure medication management: reception, entry into logs, consignments and destruction
- Collaborate in patient recruitment and follow-up with patient enrollment
- Manage follow-up of laboratory and ECG reports
- Monitor patients during the study by keeping their statuses up to date in the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) database
- Support the Laboratory Coordinator for the processing and shipping of specimens as required
- Follow standard procedures in place (SOPs) and maintaining training records
- Act as backup to the Clinical Research Coordinator if temporarily absent

**Education**
- College Diploma or university degree in science, health or a related discipline.
**Experience**
- Experienced in a medical or research environment
- Experience working with research protocols is an asset
**Knowledge and skills**
- Understanding of the scientific approach, ability to analyze and understand research protocols
- Ability to analyze and understand research protocols
- Intermediate / advanced knowledge in office software (Excel-Word)
- Bilingual (French / English) spoken and written
- Ability to learn quickly and showing an intellectual curiosity
- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Demonstrates integrity, diligence and rigor
- Work autonomously
- Good knowledge of good clinical practices, and applicable Health Canada and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations/guidelines

**Work location**
This position is based at our modern and sunny clinic in Montreal (3530 St-Laurent Boulevard). The work location is accessible by metro (Sherbrooke metro station or St-Laurent metro station), by bus (multiple lines) or car (underground parking available for a daily fee).
Important note : the work location is a medical clinic. In accordance with laws in effect at the moment of posting, wearing a mask is still required.
**Work schedule**
A presence is required from 7am - 3pm, Monday to Friday
