Assembly Technician

Sirius Controls is a progressive and rapidly growing company that is well positioned in the manufacturing industry. We are looking to add a self-motivated and capable member to join our Production team.
We have an immediate full-time opening for an Assembly Technician in our Edmonton facility. The Assembly Technician is part of our production team and is responsible for assembling various components of a system.
**Specific Responsibilities**:
- Assembling mechanical components.
- Be able to work with hand and power tools.
- Inspect mechanical assemblies to ensure adherence to specified requirements, labeling and packaging.
- Read and follow process documentation, blueprints, Bills of Material, and quality control specifications.
- Perform testing and inspection of parts and products as required.
- Complete all production and quality control documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness in work area and adhere to occupational health and safety standards.
- Forklift experience is an asset.
**Requirements**:
- 2 - 4 year’s previous experience as an assembler.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
- Able to read, interpret and follow procedures for mechanical design drawings.
- Able to work as part of a team or independently with mínimal supervision.
- Highly motivated, hard-working individual who thrives in a fast paced, deadline-based environment.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Valid driver's license
