**Position Overview**:
The **NextGen Media Director** will lead all digital and visual communications at LHCKW this summer. This role is perfect for a creative and organized individual who knows how to tell compelling stories, create viral content, and amplify a church’s voice in the digital world. From managing our social media presence to producing weekly video announcements, this role will be essential to our mission of reaching more people and building excitement as we grow.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Social Media & Digital Strategy**
- Develop and execute a weekly social media calendar (Instagram, Facebook, Stories, Reels, Posts)
- Create and schedule engaging content that promotes Sunday services, Kids Church, events, testimonies, and behind-the-scenes moments
- Engage with followers through comments, DMs, and tags to grow online connection and reach
- Design branded graphics and short-form video content for ministry communications
- Monitor insights and trends to optimize content for visibility and engagement
**Video Production & Creative Media**
- Produce, film, and edit **weekly video announcements** for Sunday services
- Capture and edit **Sunday photos and highlight reels** for promotional use
- Work alongside the Lead Pastor and other team members to share testimonies, ministry updates, and upcoming opportunities in visual formats
- Support digital design needs for flyers, signage, and print materials
**Website & Communications**
- Update and maintain the LHCKW website, including event calendars, ministry descriptions, and registration links
- Ensure all digital touchpoints reflect the brand, mission, and voice of LHCKW
- Collaborate with other summer staff to promote events and initiatives effectively
**Qualifications**:
- Must meet eligibility criteria for the Canada Summer Jobs program (ages 15-30, Canadian citizen or permanent resident)
- Strong skills in social media management, content creation, and visual storytelling
- Proficiency in tools such as Canva, CapCut, InShot, Instagram/Facebook, or similar platforms
- Ability to film and edit short-form video content (Reels, Announcements, etc.)
- A passion for creative communication and digital evangelism
- Organized, self-motivated, and collaborative
**Working Conditions**:
- Full-time, 35 hours per week
- Must be available Sundays and some evenings for content capture
- Primarily on-site at LHCKW with flexibility for editing and production work
**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 3.5 months
Pay: $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
Flexible language requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
