Hours: 21 hours/week (3 days a week)

The Youth Justice Reintegration Worker plays a key role in supporting youth in conflict with the law by facilitating their successful reintegration into the community. Works closely with the Youth Justice team, community-based services, and external stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support for clients. The role includes providing referrals, managing case documentation, and promoting program services, all while maintaining a culturally responsive and inclusive approach.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide direct support to Youth Justice Reintegration Services.
- Research and establish connections between youth clients and relevant community-based services.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with community stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Youth Justice team to make appropriate referrals to services that support youth in conflict with the law.
- Offer timely information and referrals to additional community supports and services as needed.
- Prepare and submit monthly statistical and progress reports related to clients and services.
- Assist with community outreach to promote agency programs and services.
- Maintain accurate records of invoices and receipts for Youth Justice Program expenses.
- Adhere to program policies and procedures related to recordkeeping.
- Ensure client privacy and confidentiality are maintained according to agency policies.
- Deliver client services with an inclusive, non-judgmental, and culturally responsive approach.
- Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Manage inventory and procure supplies for the Youth Justice Program as needed.
- Track and maintain Youth Justice Program inventory.
- Any other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a Social Services field (e.g., Child and Youth Worker, Youth Justice).
- A minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience.
- Strong understanding of human behavior to support positive change.
- Knowledge of local resources available to clients and their families.
- Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of police and court processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills when working with internal and external stakeholders, third parties, and staff at all levels.
- Ability to accept and perform additional duties as required to support the mission of the organization.
- Proficiency in French is an asset.
