**Job Description**:
The **Business Development Coordinator** is responsible for supporting Business Development activities within the department. This includes: all retail and food leases and any business partnerships within the Business Development portfolio, customer service issues, as well as delivery of projects and initiatives.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:
Secondary School Diploma or Equivalent
Community College Diploma (in a related field)

**Experience**:
Minimum three years of related experience

Competencies:
Critical thinking, strategic thinking, and ability to effectively problem solve
Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
Strong interpersonal with proven experience in customer relationship management, understanding business priorities and determining project requirements
Able to function both independently and as a team player in a dynamic work environment
Exceptional conflict resolution skills and ability to exercise diplomacy and good judgement
Advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office suite)
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Proven ability to achieve objectives within set time frames
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work at all levels of the organization
Understanding the importance of change management in implementing new processes in complex healthcare environments
Demonstrated systems thinker, with a strong commitment to quality and sustainability

**Responsibilities**:
Operations and Customer Service

Works with all vendor partners to ensure they are abiding to the terms and conditions of their lease agreements.
Works collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure customer service and cleanliness standards are being met in all Business Development areas.
Strategizes new ideas and business opportunities that would be beneficial to RVH.

Marketing and Communication
Works with vendor partners and Corporate Communications to promote the services and businesses in Business Development portfolio to staff, patients and visitors.
Promotes Business Development by working collaboratively with both internal and external partners, where appropriate, on special events and/or fundraising.

Administrative

Reconcile monthly/quarterly statements
Track monthly sales reports
Update monthly additional billings as per lease agreements
Attend monthly Precise/RVH parking meetings
Works with the Manager, Procurement and Business Development on budget planning to determine the revenue, expense and contribution targets
