CTC seeks a results-driven, people-centric communications manager who embraces innovation and promotes diversity, inclusion and belonging to help drive CTC’s _Better Connected _strategy. Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Corporate Communications, this role is responsible for helping build, protect and enhance CTC’s corporate reputation among key audiences, including the business community, media and third-party organizations.

Working in a fast-paced, matrix team environment with internal and external partners on multiple simultaneous initiatives, the **Manager, Corporate Communications **will effectively oversee the planning and execution of CTC’s strategic communications, ensuring external communications are consistent with the organization's strategic objectives.

Determined by managers, decisions around work location will be made based on business and team needs and grounded in a desire to support individual well-being and personal needs. **What you'll do**
- Provide strategic communications counsel and act as the communications team lead on various integrated communications initiatives and events, working collaboratively with internal and external partners to positively influence outcomes that best promote and protect CTC’s brand and advance the corporation’s strategic initiatives
- Lead a team of talented communications professionals to develop and execute integrated, multi-channel strategies, plans and programs to support the delivery of business outcomes and generate positive media coverage
- Provide issues management support to effectively address issues stemming from social platforms, business operations, in-store escalations and/or media stories to protect and maintain brand reputation
- Lead the development and content strategy for corporate communications channels as assigned (Twitter, corporate website, etc.)
- Develop and oversee the crafting of creative, clear, and engaging content, utilizing expert writing and editing skills, for a variety of channels, formats and purposes
- Research, stay current, and share relevant findings about emerging trends, best practices, and potential issues and opportunities in the retail and consumer markets

**What you bring**
- Ten years of progressive experience in the communication field
- Exceptional writing, editing and presentation skills, with strict attention to detail and accuracy
- Team management experience with a strength-based feed-back rich approach focused equally on what (objectives) and how (corporate values) the team achieves its outcomes
- Proven ability to provide strategic communications counsel and effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, using a high level of political acuity to influence outcomes successfully
- Project management experience with the demonstrated ability to balance multiple initiatives, effectively prioritizing to execute strategies/plans and associated activities/tactics on time and on budget in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Corporate communications experience with expertise in media relations and issues management
- Post-secondary education in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, or related degree/diploma
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as required, which may include early mornings, evenings and weekends, and includes travelling (up to 15% travel)
- Willingness and ability to commute as required to their assigned CTC home office as needed (hybrid model) and pay their commuting expenses
