**We have remained fully operational throughtout the COVID-19 crisis and now that things are returning to normal have more demand than ever. We have positions on crews for glaziers willing to work with the current uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 virus. We will support you fully with enhance PPE and ongoing training and new safe work practises.**

We are seeking people who share our passion for the glazing trade. We believe glazing is the most interesting and challenging trade in the commercial and industrial realms. We want people who love being glaziers and are keen to learn new skills and improve existing ones. We work in teams and as individuals and need people that enjoy exercising their skills in both situations.

We believe we support our glaziers in field better than any company in the city. We have more tools and equipment than any other company and excel at planning and executing complex crew based jobs.

**What Type of Work We Do**:
**DOORS**: We service all types of commercial doors: Swing, Balanced, Revolving, Sliding and Folding Grill Doors. We also work with the full range of automatic door operators and we are the #1 Canadian Dealer for Tormax Automatics and that segment of our business is growing rapidly - Tormax motors are made in Switzerland and build the most technically advanced operators in the industry.

**GLASS**: We handle some of the largest pieces of glass, IG units and lites in the world. We specialize in taking challenging installations that other companies cannot.

**METAL**: Explore1 also fabricates frames, tracks and enclosures that our doors and glass reside in. We have assemblers who help fabricate and build these metal structures in our shop using our CNC machinery and other tools.

We have a great team of experienced glaziers and apprentices with solid skill sets and good work ethic. If you are skilled and/or want to improve your craft by working alongside other skilled people then Explore1 has a lot to offer you.

**What type of work you can expect working as a Journeyman with Explore1**:

- Curtain wall restoration
- Water infiltration and repair
- Revolving door repair and retrofit
- High-Rise swing stage IG Unit replacement
- Glass canopy installation and repair
- Balanced door refurbishment
- Automatic sliding door installation and repair
- Storefront installation
- Composite panel installation
- Structural glazing
- Shop fabrication
- Door service
- Glass hoisting
- Specialty installations

**Compensation**:
We supply our journeymen with:

Expected wage range is $22(Min Experience)
- $39/hour (High Level of Competency). This is dependent upon experience and performance reviews are conducted.

At Explore1 you are expected to be able to perform equally well as an individual (a single technician in a truck) or as part of a team on larger more complex installations.

A valid and clean (less than 2 infractions in that last 3 years) Ontario drivers license is required
