**Financial Controller**

**Location: Onsite, Kanata, Ontario**

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join our team in Kanata, Ontario.

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Develop and implement effective financial controls and procedures.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies and business plans.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local financial regulations.
- Coordinate and oversee the Year End process.
- Implement and maintain accounting systems and software to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide training and support to the finance team to ensure continuous professional development.
- Lead the budgeting process, ensuring accurate and comprehensive budget preparation and monitoring.
- Provide detailed financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing financial controls and procedures.
- Above-average computer skills, with proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in e-commerce is considered an asset.
- Experience with NetSuite.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
