Evidence Partners (EP) is a successful, Ottawa-based software company in the life sciences field. Evidence partners is dedicated to positively impacting the future of evidence-based research by helping our users conduct high quality systematic literature reviews faster and more efficiently.
**The Product**
DistillerSR is a SaaS platform that is used globally by researchers, pharmaceutical companies, medical device companies, governments, NGOs, and academic institutions to deliver life changing evidence-based research faster and more efficiently. Our software combines proprietary data management, workflow, and AI technologies that are fundamentally changing the way researchers conduct systematic literature reviews.
Under the supervision of the Vice President Human Resources; the Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible to partner with our hiring manager to find and engage the best talent to support the company’s growth. The TAS will play a leading role in identifying and engaging top talent in a creative way, improving, and contributing to our employer brand, and scaling our recruiting practice as we grow as an organization. The Talent Acquisition Specialist establishes and coordinates Evidence Partners Talent Pipeline by scouring the internet and meeting people to introduce them to the company. The continuous goal of hiring highly qualified talent means that we’re always searching for the talent and improving upon our best practices.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the full life cycle technical recruitment for all company sourcing activities.
- Be a trusted recruiting advisor for EP’s hiring managers.
- Work closely with the HR Team and/or Hiring Managers to make sure we attract and hire the best talent
- Deliver “best in class” onboarding programs / process for new hires while representing company values.
- Recommend and drive improvements to scale our overall recruiting practice, such as but not limited to:recruitment workshops for hiring managers and interviewers
- Package and present performance and quality of hiring pipelines.
- Provide day to day advice to Hiring Managers and Employees on Recruitment related queries, requests and Policies and Procedures, escalating more complex issues to the VP HR.
- Lead University recruitment through EP’s COOP program
- Prepare HR documents, like employment contracts and new hire guides
- Update and/or revise relevant company policies
- Create regular reports and presentations on HR metrics

**Skills & Qualifications (Education and Experience)**
- College/University degree, specialization in Human Resources preferred and/or an equivalent combination of education and technical experience acceptable to Evidence Partners
- Previous work experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist
- Proven experience with HR software, such as HRIS or HRMS
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Visio and PowerPoint)
- Excellent knowledge of labor laws and/or Ontario Health & Safety Act compliance standards, such as the FMLA.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritize certain tasks and projects appropriately.
- Ability to work as a team member, assisting other HR personnel with their tasks.
- Great problem-solving and analytical skills to manage daily administrative tasks.
