Under the general supervision of the Superintendent of Facility Contract and Maintenance, the Facilities Maintenance Stop and Loops Supervisor is responsible for the inspection, operation and maintenance of all yards, stops, loops, parking lots, transit ways and structures used by the Transit Department. The Facilities Maintenance Stop and Loops Supervisor oversees a workforce of trades & non-trades staff, manages yards related modification projects, oversees yards related service contracts, and establishes and administers maintenance performance standards and preventative maintenance schedules to improve efficiency and effectiveness of work scheduling and quality of work performed. Oversees service contracts with external agencies.

**As the **Facilities Maintenance Stops & Loops Supervisor **you will**:

- Responsible for the inspection, operation, maintenance and repair of all yards, stops, loops, transit ways, structures used by the Transit Department
- Establish preventive maintenance and repairs performance standards
- Assess and arrange purchasing of required material and equipment to keep maintenance operations running
- Manage the selection, training and work performance of stop and loops staff
- Train staff on facilities maintenance subsection procedures
- Manage or assist with the non-routine facility construction, maintenance and modification projects
- Operate the computerized building control and facilities maintenance system to achieve specified performance
- Ensures the Stop and Loops maintenance functions necessary to support the operations of the Transit Department are performed at minimum cost
- Ensures all facility maintenance operations are performed in accordance with the City of Winnipeg Act, all City By-Laws, City Policy and all relevant provincial & federal statutes

**Your education and qualifications include**:

- High School or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Post-secondary diploma or certificate in a related trade of branch of facilities maintenance, such as a Certified Engineering Technologist designation or other related journeyman designation in the trades, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Extensive knowledge and administrative experience of facility maintenance systems, facility development and operation, and the supervision of employees.
- Extensive administrative experience in building maintenance and management of facilities.
- Previous supervisory experience required.
- Knowledge in cost estimates and control, forecasting, budget systems preparation and financial tracking.
- Experience in use of computers and applicable software, i.e. Word, Excel and Outlook.

**Conditions of employment**:n
- Valid Province of Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s license
- Must be physically capable of performing the duties of this position
