Business Intelligence Analyst Intern

To support its technological transformation and to steer informed data-driven decision-making across the organization, Intelcom is looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst Intern.

Reporting to the BI Product Owner, your role will be to master BI systems, understand and analyze the client’s needs and translate them into detailed specifications for their realization and accompany the development of the BI solutions at each stage.

**Responsibilities**:

- Data Analysis: develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure business performance
- BI Development:

- Contribute to the BI solutions, architectures and their detailed design
- Document functional design analytics:

- Data transformation mapping
- Workflows design (BPO)
- Operationalization & support process
- Identify and recommend opportunities for system improvement
- Foster quality and integrous solutions by developing and documenting test scenarios, validation tasks on reports, dashboards and datasets
- Prepare and accompany users through User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Create and maintain data models, dashboards and reports for various business units
- Propose and deploy data input templates for the business units where needed.
- Requirements Gathering:

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data & analytical requirements
- Translate the requirements in technical specifications
- Documentation: create and maintain documentation for BI solutions, including data dictionaries, technical specifications and user guides
- Training and Support:

- Act as a SME on software functionalities as well as data availability, quality and utility
- Provide training and documentation to end-users and super users on BI tools and reports
- Offer on-going support to address user inquiries, issues and ad hoc analysis. Propose solutions and action plans.

Technical skills and background
- Interest or experience working as functional analyst in data projects with actual experience documenting data flows, business cases, data dictionary
- Academic degree in related area (Data Engineering, Analytics, Business Analysis, etc.)
- Strong proficiency in Power BI
- Good knowledge of ETL/ELT principles, and data model standards
- Experience with the following is a plus:

- SQL
- Relational databases
- Snowflake
- Python
