**WHO WE ARE**
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) was established in 1999 as an international independent agency to lead a collaborative worldwide movement for doping-free sport. As the global regulatory body, WADA’s primary role is to develop, harmonize and coordinate anti-doping rules and policies across all sports and countries. Our key activities include: scientific and social science research; education; intelligence & investigations; development of anti-doping capacity; and, monitoring of compliance with the World Anti-Doping Program.
**P**OSITION OVERVIEW**
The Intelligence Analyst will conduct anti-doping analysis for the purposes of developing I&I casework, identifying doping trends, implementing intelligence collection strategies, and drafting intelligence products in support of WADA I&I operational and strategic priorities.
In collaboration with the HIU (Head of Intelligence Unit), the Intelligence Analyst will serve as a key contributor in the development of WADA’s operational and strategic intelligence capability.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Under the supervision of HIU, provide analysis in support of intelligence and investigative casework. This includes collecting, collating, exploiting, and analyzing information from various sources (WADA databases, OSINT, HUMINT, interviews) to deliver detailed analytical reports in support of intelligence collection and ongoing investigations conducted by WADA’s Investigations Unit;
- Upon HIU request, provide advice and recommendations in the form of verbal briefings or written reports to WADA I&I management, WADA leadership and select stakeholders in line with WADA intelligence collection priorities;
- Perform analysis to identify doping trends and geographic/sport “hot spots” in support of WADA wide efforts to counter doping prevalence;
- Identify opportunities for WADA to enhance intelligence collection and analysis across WADA in support of WADA’s sated objective to better leverage data;
- Work closely with fellow Intelligence Unit analyst and WADA intelligence managers to support WADA intelligence collection operations and identify and support intelligence-based projects (Ex. Operation Refuge);
- Collaborate and liaise with internal WADA staff (IT, Science, Legal ) and external Anti-Doping Organizations such as International Federations (IFs) and National Anti-Doping Organizations (NADOs), WADA-accredited laboratories and Law Enforcement;
- Manage information sharing through relevant networks, both internal and external;
- Ensure that processes and activities associated with the creation, collation and retention of data are in accordance with the rules of evidence and privacy requirements;
- Ensure compliance with case management requirements;
- Attend and participate in coordinated Analytical team meetings with the Analytical I&I members;
- Enhance the capability and reputation of the Department internally and externally by aligning all work undertaken with WADA core values: Integrity, Openness and Excellence.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as criminal justice, criminology, intelligence analysis, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees or certifications may be preferred;
- Extensive knowledge of strategic or operational analysis within a scientific, government or law enforcement environment;
- A minimum 5 years of experience in an analysis function;
- Proven understanding of antidoping rules and processes;
- Sound experience in a relevant field, preferably as an analyst in an intelligence capacity with government or law enforcement;
- Proven experience within an Anti-Doping Organization (IF, NADO) or a National (Sport) Federation is an asset;
- Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills;
- Ability to understand the “big picture”, to analyze abstract pieces of information and form a reasonable conclusion;
- Excellent knowledge of analytical software (e.g. i2, Analyst’s Notebook). Sound knowledge of HUMINT, OSINT;
- Experience with data analysis a strong asset;
- Excellent oral and written skills in one of the two WADA official languages (English/French) and very good command of the other official language; additional language skills in Spanish would be an asset;
- Strong communication skills, both for written reports and for oral presentations to internal and/or external stakeholders;
- Ability to work quickly and accurately and without supervision in a structured and organized manner;
