Over the course of the last 15 years Cedars has been a leader in addiction treatment and an integral part of the recovery community in British Columbia, acting as the launching pad for thousands of personal success stories with the Admissions Team facilitating the beginning of each patient's journey.

Reporting to the _Admissions Director_, Admissions Support at Cedars is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming experience for patients being transported to and from Cedars at Cobble Hill. Admissions Support is required to be calm and responsive to the patient's needs. Their functional duties and hours will be flexible to meet the operational needs of Cedars.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Answer phones and assist in administrative duties as required
- Ensures focused patient care is provided and patient rights are respected.
- Transport patients to and from various locations, as per schedule in CIMS.
- Performs thorough bag checks, removing all contraband items, labeling luggage and organizing personal effects.
- Preforms transportation for patients to the lab and other individual appointments.
- Maintains all documents according to established standards, regulations, policies, and procedures, ensuring confidentiality is maintained according to facility policy.
- Works with Support Staff to ensure that Cedars operates in a manner that is consistent with the goal and objectives of the treatment program during.
- Complete non-contact clothing exchanges
- Maintains an up to date knowledge of facility policies and procedures, particularly those concerning the administration and recording of medications, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Assist support staff and housekeeping as requested
- Performs other related duties as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Valid First Aid Certification
- Ability to clearly communicate verbally, and in writing
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact with the various departments involved in the patient treatment process
- Ability to collaborate and problem solve with other team members including counseling, medical, administration, and support staff
- A commitment to creating a positive environment conducive to healing for both patients and staff
