**You are**
A **_Training and Development Coordinator._** You will develop and implement a training program to educate employers on cultural brokering within the settlement sector. This training, part of the National Cultural Brokers Project (NCBP), will highlight the role Cultural Brokers have in fostering relationships, supporting diverse work environments, and promoting inclusive practices. The Training & Development Coordinator will report to the Project Manager (NCBP) and collaborate with stakeholders across Canada to create and deliver a curriculum that meets the needs of employers nationwide.
This position is full-time term up to 3 years.
**Your Role**
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement a comprehensive training program aimed at enhancing the understanding and support of Cultural Brokering within settlement organizations across Canada. Utilize the Community of Practice model to conduct a needs assessment that will identify key learning objectives and curriculum content.
- Coordinate and facilitate in-person, hybrid, and online training sessions throughout Canada, utilizing regional hubs and settlement umbrellas.
- Connect with employers and share information about the training program by attending events in different areas across Canada. Use local centers and support networks to reach a variety of communities.
- Prepare annual operating budget with respect to the Training & Development component of the National Cultural Brokerage Program. Monitor spending and approval within the limits of the approved budget.
- Ensures that all training workshops/presentations meet the needs of the target audience by developing learning objectives, incorporating theories of adult learning, and developing content and formats of delivery that effectively address issues of transference of learning.
- Research for, plan, develop and produce all training resources (i.e., manuals, PowerPoint presentations) that will be used in the delivery of the training.
- Develop and maintain curriculum for all training topics to be delivered.
- Where appropriate, provide leadership and support to other project partners in the delivery of training workshops, developing resource materials, etc.
- Works to develop and implement a marketing plan to increase the number of training requests coming into the Cultural Brokers Network of Canada (CBNC) and to establish CBNC as a training center in the field of Cultural Brokering for Employers.
- Meet on a regular basis with the Project Manager to discuss training and outreach activities, professional development needs, evaluation etc.
- Participate in professional development activities as required where such activity will contribute to the overall goals of the program.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all training workshops and presentations.
- Work together with project partners to maintain an up-to-date catalogue of all training that CBNC offers for the practice of Cultural Brokering.
- Consistently communicate in a respectful, responsive, and responsible manner.

**What You Know**
- Post Secondary Diploma or degree in a related field such as Education, Human Resources, or Human Services. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience developing curriculum geared for adult learners.
- Experience teaching adult learners in a variety of settings such as colleges, universities, and workplaces.
- Experience using Knowledge Translation in a social service setting an asset.
- Experience working within the settlement sector or with immigrant-serving organizations.
- Familiarity with the SWISS/TEE, RAP, and Settlement programs.
- Strong understanding of cultural brokering and its importance in the settlement sector.
- Experience working with diverse communities and understanding cultural diversity and sensitivity.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in online learning platforms and tools.
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
- Flexible to work some evenings and weekends.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are an asset.
