Personal Support Worker

**Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Help with meal preparation and medication administration
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment
- Support clients with mobility issues and assist with heavy lifting when necessary
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, including dementia care
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of clients
**Skills**:
- Prior experience in caregiving or nursing home settings is required
- Ability to administer medications following prescribed guidelines
- Knowledge on how to use POC/PCC Documentation.
- Proficiency in providing dementia care and managing related behaviors
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction
- Capability to handle heavy lifting and physical demands of the role
- Capability of using mobility and transfer lifts
- Knowledge of home care procedures and best practices for patient support
**COMPLETE DOCUMENTS**:
- NACC certificate
- Vulnerable Screening Check (6 months valid)
- First Aid/CPR Certificate
- Mask Fit Test
- COVID 19 vaccination record
- Immunization records
- TB Clearance
**Shifts available**:
- 6am-2pm
- 2pm-10pm
- 10pm-6am
