Position Summary
The Pharmacy Assistant is a pharmacy technician applicant who is in their final steps towards registration with the College of Pharmacists to become a Registered Pharmacy Technician.
The Pharmacy Assistant monitors and maintains medication stock in the hospital, and participates in medication reconciliation on admission. The Pharmacy Assistant will work collaboratively with all members of the interdisciplinary health care team at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital (OSMH) to support and enhance the services of the pharmacy department and ensure the provision of safe, holistic, patient centered care to our clients.

**Education**:
- Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician College program
- In process of completing licensure for Registered Pharmacy Technician
- Registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists in progress
**Experience**:
- Minimum one year experience in pharmacy practice setting preferred
- Pharmacy hospital experience preferred
- Knowledge of general pharmacy department functions, operations and responsibilities
