Retail Store Sales Representative

Join our team Perth Brewery is looking for an enthusiastic Sales Representative to work in our Brewery’s busy retail store located in the wonderful town of Perth, Ontario.

Founded in 1993 to provide a space for small batch brewing, our brewery has grown to be home to our open concept production facility and busy retail store. You can also find our beer in many local bars & restaurants as well as LCBOs, grocery stores and Beer Stores across Ontario. **Overview**

The Sales Representative is responsible for providing outstanding customer service. The position performs sales within the retail space of the Brewery, provides group tours of the Brewery, and participates in local events to promote and sell Brewery beer and merchandise.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

- Greet and serve customers with interest and enthusiasm for the Brewery and our beer.
- Clear and accurate communication of the Brewery’s beer styles and brewing process.
- Complete opening and closing procedures of the retail space.
- Ensure accurate and efficient use of Point of Sale (POS).
- Keep retail store/taproom fully stocked with beer and merchandise.
- Ensure retail store, fridges, cold room, tasting bar and overflow merchandise storage area is maintained in a tidy manner.
- Serve beer to tap room customers.
- Replace taproom kegs as necessary.
- Clean taproom keg lines weekly.
- Carry out required record keeping as it relates to inside sales.
- Conduct public tours of the Brewery (groups of up to 30 people) and ensure customers have a positive and enjoyable learning experience.
- Serve and guide retail keg customers through the keg purchase, pick-up and return process.
- Inform Senior Sales Representative as appropriate, of concerns, issues and status of product, inventory, and equipment.
- Report leads and sales opportunities for new licensee accounts to Head of Sales/Owner.
- Clean, tidy, and maintain a safe retail area and common staff areas (including bathrooms).
- Assist in the planning and execution of Brewery events as assigned, including providing an enjoyable and professional experience to customers.
- Other related duties as may be assigned.

**Qualifications**
*
- SmartServe certificate.
- One year of retail experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Event coordination experience an asset.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team as well as work alone to achieve results.
- High attention to detail, organization, and record keeping skills.
- A passion for craft beer.

**Working Environment**

- Fast paced retail environment.
- Flexible availability for work hours - evenings/weekends.
- Lift heavy objects (including cases of beer, kegs, merchandise) up to 55 lbs.
