Every day we go above and beyond to deliver innovative solutions to help our clients make important decisions that directly impact the community and the environment. **As a Laboratory Analyst, your main responsibilities are to**: Produce high quality, accurate and defensible data, using liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry techniques, safely and on time, following applicable standard operating procedures. - Coordinate instrument and personnel time in planning the analysis of multiple analytical methods to meet quality and TAT specifications. - Perform routine data reduction using instrument quantitation software. Complete 100% bench level data review and approval (Tier 1 data approval). - Provide Senior Analyst/Supervisor with updates on workstation status including advance notification of any delays. - Proactively identifies and resolves analytical and process issues, communicating non-conformances to Supervisor in a timely manner. - Maintain analytical instrumentation in optimized and calibrated condition. When appropriate, troubleshoot and repair instruments/equipment. - Ensure a sufficient inventory of appropriate materials and supplies are on hand to sustain operations of respective analyses. - Evaluate changes in present procedures, which could improve efficiency, recovery, productivity, etc. - Support and comply with all Bureau Veritas policies, Quality System and Health & Safety program. - Participate, when requested in internal and external audits. - Under the guidance of a Scientific Specialist, participates in method development and method validation.Other responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor. **You are the ideal Laboratory Analyst, if you have a**: - Post-secondary degree/diploma, preferably chemistry, environmental sciences and/or equivalent related experience in an analytical laboratory environment. - Experience working with liquid chromatography instrumentation and familiarity with various detectors (UV, FL, RI, MS) and their principles of operation would be an asset. - Able to define problems, assessing and interpreting data to draw valid conclusions and resolve discrepancies. Work on problems of diverse scope, where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. - The ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Excellent time-management, communication and priority setting skills. - Attention to details and producing comprehensive technical records. - The ability to accurately follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and instructions. - Is energetic with positive outlook and "can-do" attitude.
