The Rugby Development Officer - Toronto will be responsible for supporting the development of rugby in
Toronto and will work in collaborate with the Toronto Arrows RFC, Rugby Ontario, and the local rugby
clubs. Reporting to the Manager of Rugby Development, the Rugby Development Officer - Toronto will be
responsible for driving the growth and development of rugby in rugby clubs, schools, and community
groups.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Club Development**
- Responsible for in person delivery with a focused group of clubs in Toronto.
- Implementation of individual Club Development Plans.
- Support clubs in the promotion and participation of rugby programming.
- Coordinate regular interaction between the Toronto Arrows and focus clubs.
**School Development**
- Responsible for in person delivery at a focused group of schools in Toronto.
- Support existing rugby schools with programming and participation support.
- Engage emerging schools and schools without rugby to establish new rugby programming.
- Deliver HSBC Rookie Rugby at targeted Elementary Schools in Toronto.
**Toronto Arrows RFC Development**:
- Increase Toronto Arrows brand awareness within local schools, clubs, and community initiatives.- Increase engagement opportunities for these outlets at Toronto Arrows Home Games
**Developmnet Projects**
- Support the implementation of existing Rugby Canada development initiatives
**REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**
- _College or University diploma/degree in sport management or equivalent or relevant _
- _experience considered an asset _
- _Experience working in community sport considered an asset _
- Safe Sport Training or equivalent
- Experience working with school age youth
- Experience in the sport of rugby
- Experience in Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Bilingual in English and French considered an asset
