**Job Title**

Insurance Account Representative

**Job Purpose**

To work as an employee of a Desjardins Agent Network (DAN) independent contractor agent assisting the agent in selling and marketing DAN products and services and in providing quality service to DAN customers.

**EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE_____________________**

**MUST HAVE following licenses (both preferred): OTL/RIBO; LLQP**
- Experience in retail sales, marketing or customer service desirable.
- Experience with computer software required.
- Knowledge of personal lines insurance products desirable.

**SKILLS/ ABILITIES__________________________**
- Languages: fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi
- Ability to influence others.
- Ability to create professional business relationships with prospects and policyholders.
- Strong listening, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative and act effectively in various circumstances without direction.
- Self-confidence/perseverance/strong work ethic: remain positive and maintain progress towards a goal in spite of obstacles and adversity.
- Goal oriented: highly motivated and resourceful to achieve results.
- Proven track record of trustworthiness, dependability and ethical behavior.
- Ability to organize and act on several activities concurrently.

**JOB RELATED TRAINING COURSES, LICENSING AND PROGRAMS______**

Successfully complete all company & Provincial requirements (licenses) to sell and service designated DAN products and continue to be licensed in good standing is required.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES________________________**
- Work from the agent’s office to contact prospects and current policyholders to generate interest in sales appointments

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year

**Benefits**:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
- Commission pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Brampton, ON L6T 4W8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- OTL/RIBO and/or LLQP license (preferred)

Work Location: In person
