This position will oversee the maintenance and operation of both Faith Place and Faith Lutheran Church facilities, ensuring the comfort and well-being of our residents, staff, and congregation.

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Cleaning & Maintenance**:

- Oversee cleaning of common areas, apartments, and general building spaces, including hallways, elevators, laundry rooms, and stairwells.
- Monitor and maintain pest control programs with detailed record keeping.
- Manage garbage removal systems, including compactor monitoring, container management, and personnel scheduling for holiday pick-ups.
- Perform and supervise apartment clean-ups and repairs after move-outs.

**Building Maintenance**:

- Ensure the physical integrity and functionality of the building, including equipment, fire safety systems, and emergency generators.
- Coordinate landscaping and exterior building maintenance - includes but is not limited to outdoor common areas and both parking lots (Faith Place and Faith Lutheran Church)
- Conduct or schedule preventative maintenance for building systems and facilities.
- Handle basic and advance repairs and replacement including but not limited to, light bulbs, fixtures, commodities, toilets, other basic plumbing needs, as well as any cosmetic repairs.

**Security & Safety**:

- Oversee building security, ensuring the safety of residents and staff.
- Monitor access to common areas and manage building access control.
- Manage emergency protocols, including developing contingency plans for fire, flood, and other emergencies.

**Staff Supervision**:

- Supervise, train, and manage maintenance and security staff in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Provide guidance on the safe use of cleaning products and equipment.

**Miscellaneous Duties**:

- Coordinate snow removal and parking lot management.
- Set up and maintain workshop and storage areas.
- Arrange and prepare facilities for program needs, as directed by the Administrator.
- Conduct annual apartment inspections and address necessary repairs.

**Qualifications**:

- A minimum of five (5) years of facility maintenance experience
- A minimum of three (3) years of direct supervisory experience over staff and trades workers
- General knowledge of building trades and facility management.
- Strong skills in general handyman tasks including painting, drywall, furniture repairs, and minor plumbing and electrical work.
- Familiarity with Health and Safety Act, WSIB Clearance, TSSA, ESA, and Department of Labour guidelines.
- Experience with cleaning procedures, equipment, and materials.
- Strong leadership and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Computer proficiency in Google, Microsoft programs. Centar and Security systems is a plus.
- Effective communication skills and a willingness to relate well with staff and residents.
- Ability to act as a self-starter and supervise others in a collaborative environment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle as supply and part pick ups may be required.

**Additional Skills and Qualities**:

- Ability to respond to emergencies, on-call situations and work under pressure.
- Experience in staff training, management, and coordination.
- Familiarity with building systems and maintenance tools.

**Compensation**
- $70,000 - $80,000 (Wage is based on Experience)

- Monday to Friday
- Possible On Call
- Emergency situations as needed
