**About Sluyter Company Ltd (SCL**)

Since its founding in 1965 as a manufacturer of solvent cement for the plumbing and electrical industries, Sluyter is a leading manufacturer of proprietary specialty chemical and adhesive products.

**The Role - Business Development**

This position represents SCL to all of our customers. This role is to grow our product lines with our current customers as well as new. This individual will also widen our customer base with the sales of new products and services SCL offers. Bilingual (French/English) a definite asset.

**What you will do**:

- Bring value by solving our customers problems;
- Drive strong year on year growth in revenue and margin;
- Develop a network of strategic customers with strong relationship through sales calls, networking, participating in Tradeshows (domestic and international) and growing the portfolio with existing customers;
- Liaise between customer and SCL as a client manager.
- Understand operations, identify customers needs, and help bring value to customers by utilizing SCL resources.
- Other duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- B.Sc degree in Chemistry and/or Business or similar
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience ideally with Construction and/or Chemicals;
- At least 3+ years in a similar role;
- Able to communicate clearly;
- Progressive experience in business development/sales;
- Strong prospecting skills, contract negotiations and closing skills;
- Rebate Management;
- Motivated, self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit;
- Unquestionable business ethics and personal integrity;
- Comfortable using technology solutions in day-to-day activities;
- A sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate an extensive network of contacts
- Ability and willingness to travel;
- Forecasting ability with strong analytical and interpretive skills;
- Must be able to work as part of a team as well as independently.
