Ministic School is a Nursery to Grade 9 School with 18 students. The school is located on an island in the beautiful community of God's Lake Narrows which has 100 residents and is approximately one and half hours flying time northeast of Winnipeg. This lakeside community offers services such as a northern store, grocery store, federal nursing station, community hall and a fishing lodge. God's Lake Narrows is on one of Manitoba's prime fishing lakes and is an outdoorsman's paradise.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor of Education degree and valid Manitoba Teacher's Certificate (or eligibility for)
- Master's Degree in Education and/or Certificate in School Leadership would be an asset.
- Previous teaching experience including experience in multi-graded classrooms.
- Previous administrative experience would be an asset.
- Excellent understanding of current Manitoba Curricula and differentiated instruction
- Experience with integrating Indigenous culture and land-based teaching into curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with parents and the community and foster parental involvement.
- Previous success with the development and implementation of short and long-term school-based plans
- Keen ability to identify and creatively solve problems.
- Capacity to work in and respond to a demanding, fast-paced school environment.
