Living Waters Catholic School Division invites applications for the position of Principal at Holy Redeemer Catholic Jr./Sr. High School in Edson Alberta, commencing January 3, 2026.
The successful candidate will be a faith-filled, visionary leader who models servant leadership, fosters collaborative relationships, and is deeply committed to Catholic education. This individual will guide the school community in achieving excellence in teaching and learning, student well-being, and faith formation within a supportive and inclusive environment.
Holy Redeemer is a dynamic faith-based learning community serving students from Grades 7–12 serving over 300 students. With a focus on academic achievement, student leadership, and Catholic identity, Holy Redeemer inspires excellence while nurturing hearts and minds grounded in Christ's teachings.
Key Responsibilities
Educational Leadership
- Inspire and support staff in the pursuit of academic excellence, innovation, and holistic student development.
- Lead with integrity and compassion, fostering a culture of learning grounded in Catholic faith and values.
Faith Formation
- Champion the integration of Catholic teachings into all aspects of school life.
- Cultivate opportunities for prayer, reflection, service, and spiritual growth among students and staff.
Community and Relationship Building
- Build strong, positive relationships with parents, parish, and community partners.
- Foster open communication and collaboration in support of student success.
School Operations
- Oversee the daily management of the school including scheduling, safety, discipline, and resource allocation.
- Ensure a safe, caring, and orderly learning environment that supports the dignity of every student.
Professional Development
- Support continuous professional learning among staff, encouraging innovation and reflective practice.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or equivalent (completed or in progress)
- Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Leadership Qualifications Certificate (or working toward completion)
- Minimum of 5 years successful teaching experience, with demonstrated leadership experience in an educational setting
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and the mission of Living Waters Catholic School Division
