Home Concierge provides home care services to Members with its customized concierge service that adapts to the unique and evolving needs of each individual member. We are looking for a team member to add to our existing team of humble, hungry and people obsessed individuals.
**About the Role**
As a Personal Support Worker Team Lead You will have the opportunity to reshape home care service standards one member at a time, bringing to the community the care and needed support our members value while empowering them to remain in their own home.
Duties include:
- Conducting initial in-home or phone assessments
- Re-assessing the members care needs
- Completing Home Safety Assessments
- Precepting new hires with a Shadow Shift
- Working as a PSW, supporting members with Activities of daily living during schedule gaps
The PSW Team Lead will work alongside the leadership team to capture what our members truly value and translate this into a tangible plan which will resonate with our members and their loved ones. A person who has a true desire to serve and someone who values a broad range of work experiences will thrive in this role.
As the Personal Support Worker Team Lead you must have a passion for forming connections with those you serve. We are looking for a skilled relationship builder with an entrepreneurial mindset, who is flexible.
**The finer details**:
- $19.50/hr
- Casual Hours (as and when needed)
- Mileage will be reimbursed
- Tiered reward system based on the amount of shifts you choose to accept. Rewards are based on hours worked and include a cell phone allowance, meal vouchers, a health spending account
- Client homes are located in Greater Toronto Area
**What do you need to qualify?**
- Must be a graduate from a recognized Personal Support Worker program
- Level 1 First Aid, CPR / AED Certificate.
- Fully vaccinated against Covid 19, Negative Two Step TB test
- Recent experience working with geriatrics, long-term care, or home services required.
- Excellent relationship building skills and the ability to engage and support the seniors you care for - experience caregiving / fostering relationships with seniors is a plus
- Excellent communicator, resilient, & flexible to meet the changing priorities of a pilot project
- Ability to resolve contentious or sensitive issues or situations independently
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of client information
- Own a smartphone and comfortable with using apps
- Demonstrated knowledge of occupational health & safety practices, principles & legislation
- Compliance with infectious disease screening as per provincial legislation & maintaining immunizations
- Must own a vehicle and have a valid G class drivers’ license, valid automobile insurance
- Familiarity with retirement industry resources is considered an asset
