ABB Smart Buildings digitally transforms commercial, industrial and residential buildings for the highest comfort, efficiency, safety and security - enhancing quality of life in buildings of the future through safe, smart and sustainable electrification solutions, services and products. Reporting to the production manager, you will need to inspect the electrical products manufactured by the production team. To do this, you must follow the standards of the electrical industry (CSA, UL) as well as certain special standards. You will be responsible for the dielectric, continuity, tightening torque, configurations tests, and more. These tests are necessary to validate the operation and quality of the products. You will be re-sponsible for documenting all the tests and saving them securely. Your collaboration and participation in health and safety will also be required at all times.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Carry out the tests on electrical assemblies (dielectric, continuity, tightening torque, configuration of the devices, functionalities, etc.), in accordance with the normal or special procedures if required.
- Validate the mechanical and electrical assembly diagrams.
- Issue non-compliances and make sure that the modifications are corrected on the prod-uct.
- Fill out the test reports and record them electronically.
- Make sure that the tests are performed safely.
- Maintain the equipment in good condition and ensure that its calibration is up to date.
- Make sure that the test area is tidy and safe.
- Take required ABB in-house training
**Your background**:
- College diploma in electrotechnics or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in testing electrical products or systems.
- Bilingualism English and French.
- Good experience in using CSA or UL standards.
- Experience in reading electrical and mechanical plans.
- Autonomous and proactive.
- Experience communicating with customers is an asset.
