The technician supports the achievement of organizational objectives in terms of risk management and applies the various controls and standards related to quality programs to production line activities.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Perform pre-operational inspections before and after the start of operations to verify the safety of the production lines (ATP test/allergen test/environmental swabs)
- Perform daily operational inspections of the plant
- Evaluate finished products and raw materials on an hourly basis
- Verify production parameters, and product specifications and ensure compliance of products in production
- Ensure compliance with the procedures of the various HACCP/SQF/Kosher/Gluten Free/Organic programs, as well as the hygiene/SST/GMP rules
- Perform organoleptic evaluations and laboratory analysis, chemical dosage, Aw, temperature
- Participate in internal audits and preparation of external audits.
- Train employees on hygiene and food safety rules
- Control and sample raw materials and validate packaging
- Report non-conformities, follow up on required incidents, monitor and maintain its key performance indicators, and propose improvements
- All other related tasks, as required

**Qualifications**
- DEC or AEC in Food Science and Technology
- Thorough knowledge of HACCP and the quality program
- 2 years experience in a similar position in the food industry
- Bilingualism in French and English, both written and spoken
- Knowledge of computers, systems and databases
- Organized, rigorous, meticulous
- Ability to work as a team and individually.
- Day Shift Monday to Friday
- 6h00 to 14h00 or 6h30 to 14h30
- **Physical requirements: being able to walk up/down the stairs, lift products weighing between 5 and 22.5 kg on a regular basis.**

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
