Summer Fresh Salads is a leading manufacturer of hummus, dips, and salads in Canada. We currently have an opening for MRO (Maintenance, Repairs & Overhauls) Buyer. This key position within our organization will report to the Plant Engineer.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Strategic Sourcing
- Strategic sourcing/RFQ process from clarifying specifications, sourcing parts to awarding the bid.

Managing approval process
- Getting quotes approved based on dollar value.

Purchasing
- Sending 30 - 50 PO’s daily

Follow ups/Supplier Relationship management
- Following on late PO’s, managing supplier relationship and performance.

Receiving
- Verify POs for accuracy, quantity according to the packing slip. Receive, distribute parts to technicians or stock items. Close the PO in Megamation.

Stocking/Restocking
- Putting away parts after receipt.

Accounts Payable issues
- Resolving invoice discrepancies also aging backlog of invoices with issues.

Inventory Management
- Inventory management, stocking/restocking without assigned parts, we are unable to manage parts in inventory ie setting Min/Max

RMA’s
- Returning defective or damaged parts.

Expediting parts
- Expediting parts when machines are down.

Backlog Management
- There is a backlog of PO’s that come from finance that were done in the past. They were invoices that either don’t have PO’s assigned to them or need further information, investigation of the work done.

MRO Spend Management/Cost Control
- Verifying we are getting the best total cost of ownership for parts/services from our suppliers and holding them accountable when we are overcharged.
Repairing (Repair Vs New Decisions for cost savings)
- Repairing parts instead of buying new for cost savings.

Access Control
- Making sure contractors/suppliers that enter the building sign in and were authorized to enter our plant.
