Maintenance Technician

Qualifications for Maintenance Mechanic
- Successful trade or vocational school completion
- College Diploma in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical program is a definite asset
- Working at heights certification
- Fall arrest certification
- 2 years experience
- Strong mechanical experience
- good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to act competently in emergencies
- Respect north Temp’s primary focus is to ensure the safety of all employees.
- Follow all established safety rules and guidelines. This includes, but is not limited to, lockout/Tagout, electrical code safe practices, and confined space entry programs.
- Understand and communicate all hazards and safety issues to the appropriate personnel. Properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ensure proper and safe operating conditions of all production and related equipment.
- Recommend, plan, repair, modify, make, install and adjust all the necessary elements following a problem or a project which may have an effect on productivity.
- Analyze and resolve all issues related to the equipment; ensure the cleanliness of all equipment and related areas after repairs or PM Sessions.
- Uses schematic diagrams to troubleshoot and repair electric, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
- Complete preventive maintenance on all production equipment in a timely manner according to schedule.
- Determine needed parts and/or equipment necessary to complete repairs and preventive maintenance and complete appropriate order requests.
- Learn and gain expertise on new equipment and processes.
- Instruct co-workers production operators on the proper and safe operation of equipment as needed.
- Organize and maintain maintenance areas.
- Keep all tools in a good and safe condition and ensure tools are returned to their appropriate location.
- Assist contractors in the machine and building repairs;
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and flexibility toward overtime.
- Demonstrate leadership and high personal standards in relation to job performance.
- May perform other related assignments as needed.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical breakdowns
- Adjust mechanical parts using hand and machine tools
- Track and reduce machine downtime
- Maintain maintenance records according to ISO quality standards
- Identify and implement preventative maintenance and continuous improvements on new and existing lines
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $20.00-$34.00 per hour
