About the team you are joining:
Reporting to the Director, IATA Consulting & Certifications, you will be accountable for delivering IATA’s consulting services in areas related to Traffic Forecasts and Market Studies. You will be working alongside a brilliant team of highly talented Consultants and Subject Matter Experts from diverse culture, backgrounds, and nationalities. The position will be based in Montreal, Canada. Your role will be global.

What your day would be like:
You will be accountable for achieving revenue and surplus targets for the associated profit center(s) or sub-profit centers in conjunction with the IATA Consulting teams in the regions. Responsibilities will include:
**1. Coordinate and undertake business development initiatives**
- Oversee business development initiatives in the area of Traffic Forecasts and Market Studies in conjunction with the relevant Senior Principals
- Nurture relationships with key clients
- Identify and qualify of business leads (sole-source and competitive opportunities)
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals and support the regions in these tasks
- Participate in commercial meetings
- Liaise with IATA central, regional and local teams
- Oversee the staffing, business development initiatives and career development of the staff associated to MER Consulting in the regions in conjunction with the relevant Heads of Poles (regions) as part of a dotted reported line.

**2. Manage and support consulting projects**
- Manage the execution and/or delivery of consultancy projects in coordination with the Consulting delivery teams in the regions
- Prepare, and maintain adherence to the budget and timeframe as required
- Lead internal and external Consultants and Subject Matter Experts assigned to the project as required
- Provide quality assurance on the delivery and quality control on the deliverables
- Manage the client relationship and satisfaction in the context of the project, including post-project feedback collection
- Contribute to project activities and deliverables as Subject Matter Expert
- Participate to client meetings and present deliverables as required
- Keep the IATA central, regional, and local teams apprised of the project progress

**3. Develop IATA competences and grow its expertise**
- Prepare and execute training plans for the relevant regional resources
- Oversee career development of the staff associated to Traffic Forecasts and Market Studies in the regions in conjunction with the relevant Senior Principals
- Develop a pool of external SME

**4. Contribute to New Product Development initiatives**
- Design new consulting solutions
- Lead pilot projects
- Define go-to-market plans in conjunction with the Marketing team
- Monitor budget and submit financial forecasts

**5. Contribute to the promotion of IATA Consulting and Certifications**
- Participate in promoting Consulting activities at various events, conferences, and forums to generate awareness and increase the uptake of consultancy services

Note: The incumbent is expected to spend about 50% of his / her time on project management and delivery.

We would love to hear from you if:

- You possess a university degree (Masters or PhD) in Air Transport / Airline Management, Business Administration, Economics or Engineering
- You have an experience of at least 15 years within a consultancy firm working on market and forecasting studies
- You possess a solid understanding of key issues and business economics of the aviation industry and you have a solid experience of aviation traffic databases
- You have a proven track record of delivering projects to Airlines, Airports and other aviation stakeholders
- You have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to write reports in English and present them to senior executive managers; Knowledge of a third language such as Chinese, Spanish or Portuguese would be an advantage.
