Primacare Living Solutions is currently looking to fill a role of a Health and Safety return to work specialist/HR

**Position Summary**:
The Health and Safety Return to Work Specialist is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the return-to-work process for employees following injury or illness. This role ensures compliance with workplace safety regulations, disability management policies, and legal requirements while supporting the employee’s transition back to work in a safe and effective manner.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement, and oversee return-to-work plans for employees recovering from work-related or non-work-related injuries or illnesses.
- Act as a liaison between employees, supervisors, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to ensure smooth communication and coordination.
- Conduct return-to-work meetings with employees and supervisors to discuss accommodations, modified duties, and timelines.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of return-to-work plans, making adjustments as needed.
- Ensure return-to-work programs comply with workplace health and safety regulations, workers’ compensation laws, and organizational policies.
- Maintain accurate records of return-to-work cases, including documentation of accommodations, communications, and outcomes.
- Provide guidance and support to employees navigating the return-to-work process, including explaining rights and responsibilities.
- Promote a supportive workplace culture that prioritizes employee well-being and safety.
- Stay updated on legislation and best practices related to health, safety, and return-to-work programs.
- Partner with occupational health professionals to evaluate employee readiness and develop individualized return-to-work strategies.
- Collaborate with HR and legal teams to address complex cases involving accommodations or disputes.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Human Resources, or a related field
- 2 years of experience in return-to-work coordination, health and safety, or a related field
- Strong understanding of workplace safety laws, disability management, and workers’ compensation processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail.
- Proof of full immunization (2 doses) against COVID-19_

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
