You will work within the Operations department as a machine operator supporting the production team at our beautiful Home Office in North Saanich, BC. The schedule is: Monday-Thursday
The shift is: 6am-4-30pm
Hourly Rate: Starting at $22.20

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Operating machinery to process and package food products in an efficient and safe manner.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting machinery to ensure peak performance
- Check products for defects and ensure conformance to established company standards
- Handling raw materials and finished goods
- Follow written work instructions, SOPs, and recipes;
- Complete batch and inventory tracking/accounting;
- Verify and report on ingredient quality against established standards
- Accurately weigh and measure ingredients to meet recipe specifications;
- Follow lockout procedures when equipment is not in use or being cleaned;
- Bulk package completed spice blends prior to storage maintain cleanliness of work area;
- Clean equipment and complete all associated logs & forms;
- Complete all internal and regulatory paperwork accurately;
- Understand and comply with quality systems and requirements;
- Assist in production work cells or the warehouse as required;
- Any other duties as assigned by Epicure

**Team Member Profile**:

- Mechanically inclined with good hand skills
- Knowledge of food manufacturing equipment and asset (i.e. jarring/bagging equipment, packing machines, labeling machines etc.)
- Open and flexible to learn new skills, problem solve and multi-task.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs of equipment and product
- Ability to stand, sit or stoop for long periods of time and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to grip, grasp & pinch objects repetitively
- Ability to follow directions accurately
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Attention to detail, with organizational, multitasking and problem-solving skills
- Enjoy working as a team and motivated by a job well done
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, demonstrate judgment, and discretion
- You make yourself understood verbally and in writing
- You are happy to follow directions accurately
- You are a Team player with a positive attitude
