Job Duties
- Responsible for timely, accurate and complete cost estimating for assigned custom retail store fixtures projects (wood 75%, metal 25%)
- Create material takeoffs and labour estimates according to specifications
- May require project managing duties as needed
- Solicits subcontractors and or suppliers for information and pricing
- Coordinates with different team members to confirm complete scope of project
- Researches specific material to be used when required
- Creates budget friendly proposals for customers with limited information
- Analyzes completed projects, to compare actual numbers to estimated numbers and determine the reasons for the discrepancies
- Other duties are assigned
Key Skills
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and blue prints
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Outlook. Word would be an asset
- Able to work within the time sensitive schedules & tight deadlines
- Some project management skills
- Self-directed and motivated to achieve results
- Attentive, on-time, organized and detail oriented
- Ability to multi task and monitor and prioritize multiple jobs to meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
- Customer focus - primarily deals with internal customers
- Must be familiar with manufacturing processes in both wood and metal manufacturing
Experience Required
- 3+ years experience estimating custom wood and or metal manufactured products. Experience estimating retail store fixtures would be ideal
- Familiarity working within a computerized environment

**Salary**: $38,993.69-$83,041.86 per year
