The Full-time temporary Event Specialist contract position is a 12 months maternity leave temporary replacement. The incumbent is responsible for managing, scheduling, coordinating and communicating all aspects of the event marketing strategy to grow awareness of Smile Digital Health’s brand. This position is responsible for the event budget, planning, scheduling, coordinating and communicating all Company events that Smile Digital Health is hosting or attending.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage all aspects of internal and external marketing events including concept development, venue assessment and selection,

vendor management, technology assessment, planning, shipping and other logistics, team travel, promotional item and
equipment sourcing, performance tracking and reporting.
- Coordinate and manage the expense budget and provide frequent updates to management.
- Prepare event briefs, schedule and present at kick-off meetings of event goals, expectations, timing, and requirements.
- Collaborate with Smile Digital Health team members, and liaise with sponsors, and speakers to ensure coordination of effort,

timely collection and/or submission of required resources and information.
- Remain up-to-date on all relevant industry events (virtual, in-person, and hybrid) around the globe and regularly conduct research

to identify potential event opportunities.
- Leverage and maximize benefits of government-subsidized events and co-operative event opportunities.
- Prepare post-event reports to share relevant findings, final expense, number and quality of leads, as well as an ROI assessment.
- Develop a working understanding of Smile Digital Health’s value-proposition, target industries, target personas, technology platform,

solutions, and pricing structure.
- Provide additional support to the marketing and sales teams as required.

**Requirements**:

- 3-5+ years of relevant event management experience in event marketing coordination with proven ability to manage event budgets.
- Post-Secondary diploma or degree, preferably in business, marketing, communications, or a related field of study.
- Ability to focus on the details while keeping an eye on overall event performance and ROI.
- Demonstrated creative problem-solving approach with strong analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently use business software such as Windows, Google Suite, as well as, marketing automation

and event software such as HubSpot, GoToWebinar, Socio, and more.
- Ability to work in and interact efficiently with remote teams, colleagues and clients.
