QRC Logistics is a proudly owned family transportation business that started out as a small courier company doing rush pick up’s and deliveries using cars and vans all around the GTA. As our customer’s requirements evolved, so did the company. Since then, QRC has grown and expanded exponentially adding in services like:

- Cartage division with 5-ton trucks all with tailgates to handle LTL
- Trailer division to handle FL freight
- Overnight division for less time sensitive deliveries

**Job Title**: Dispatcher

**Reports to**: Transportation Manager

**Job Type: Full-Time**

Duties and responsibilities will include:

- Receive, verify & compile driver delivery bills for CSR
- Create labels and driver manifest
- Creating orders / Input data into dispatch software
- Communicate specific freight requirements and procedures to drivers
- Handle customer inquiries in a timely, professional manner
- Update customer web portals with up-to-date load information
- Analyze resource utilization and generate reports as needed
- Coordinate with dock staff for all incoming freight
- Verify all inbound bills to manifest and assign order/ load numbers to each
- Work with the different departments to improve route management and customer service
- Other duties/ tasks as required
- **Job Specifications (Knowledge, skills and abilities)**:_
- A minimum of 5 years experience in transportation and dispatching
- Strong geographical knowledge of the GTA and Southern Ontario
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-stress situations calmly and effectively
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, basic computer functions and transportation management systems
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment and actively manage multiple, concurrent projects
- Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by management
