**Clinical Assistant Job Opportunity in Vancouver, BC**
- We are seeking a **Clinical Assistant** to work full-time at an outpatient clinic called Enable Medical in Mount Pleasant, Vancouver, BC.
- A Physiatrist exclusively performs electromyography and nerve conduction studies to test the health of the patient's nerves & muscles at Enable Medical.
- The Clinical Assistant will assist in taking detailed medical histories and performing musculoskeletal physical exams.
- The Clinical Assistant will participate in patient consults with the physician and record notes which will become part of the patient's final consult report. This includes writing up the patient's history and findings from the physical exam.

**Minimum Requirements**
- Must already hold a valid Canadian work visa.
- Must have graduated from a medical school program.
- Must have at least 1 year of clinical experience in the healthcare industry.
- Clinical experience may include: Medical Scribe, Physicians Assistant, Clinical Assistant, Nurse, Physiotherapist, Chiropractor, Kinesiologist, Podiatrist, etc.

**Hours & Location**
- A full-time role is available from Mondays to Fridays
- Clinic is closed on stat holidays and weekends
- 10 business days of paid vacation is included in the package
- Working location is in person at the clinic: Enable Medical - 63 W 6th Ave, Unit #313, Vancouver, BC V5Y 1K2

**What are electromyography and nerve conduction studies?**
- Electromyography and nerve conduction studies (EMG/NCS) are diagnostic tests that check the health of someone’s nerves and muscles. We diagnose neuromuscular abnormalities, aid with prognostication, and provide next steps to the patient's family doctor for investigations and treatment.
- Electromyography can only be performed in British Columbia by physicians (Physiatrists or Neurologists) who are certified by the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists as a Diplomate in Electromyography. They may be assisted by a certified EMG Technologist for the nerve conduction studies portion of the test.
