Rutherford Global Logistics is a leading international Freight Forwarder and has a position open in ocean import coordinator at its Mississauga location

The import coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day tasks involving customer service, document preparation and communications with all parties including overseas partners, customers, ocean liners, rail terminals, customs brokers and warehouses.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Preparation of pre-alerts, billing and delivery orders for shipments
- Review documentations received from overseas and take appropriate action when any errors or exceptions are observed
- Track and trace shipments and provide timely updates to all parties involved
- Notify clients/brokers of arrival and charges; send reminders on LFD of storage, demurrage and detention
- Resolve freight related issues and be proactive to meet customer satisfaction
- Check OS&D offload reports and photos received from warehouse for cargo damage; overage or shortage of cargo and notify origin with discrepancies

**Skills, Knowledge & Expertise**
- Excellent knowledge with MS Office [Word, Excel, Outlook]
- Dedicated to efficiency and be organized
- Accurate typing skills
- Exceptional interpersonal communication and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong communication skills; detail-oriented with ability to multi-task under a fast paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous Freight Forwarding knowledge is an asset

**Benefits**

Pay: $43,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
