We have an exciting position of **Corporate Controller**: at Price Steel Ltd. The controller will be an experienced accounting individual who will enjoy a variety of duties requiring analytical skills and high attention to detail for review and processing of transactions related to our core business and driving process improvements.
This position reports to our Director of Finance and our organization offers a great deal of variety, growth potential and exposure to many interesting businesses within our group of companies.

**_Key Responsibilities_**:
- Preparation of monthly corporate financial statements and reporting package
- Preparation of monthly operating financial reporting package including variance analysis, KPI’s and MD&A for review with operations management team
- Manage year end processes and reporting. Coordination with external accounting firm for year end review engagements and tax filings
- Ad hoc reporting and financial analysis supporting the greater group of companies as required
- Manage and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable teams
- Oversight of payroll function for the company. Support Director of Finance and CFO with group wide payroll oversight and initiatives as required
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Develop, document and improve business processes to create efficiencies and strengthen internal controls
- Provide support to the group on accounting systems conversion and implementation
- Support the CFO and Director of Finance with merger and acquisition activities
- Manage and comply with local, provincial, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Additional financial management duties as necessary

- Strong and well-developed communication skills with the ability to communicate with a variety of associates (finance and operations) both within and outside the group
- Ability to work under pressure with competing priorities and tight timelines
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Confident, resourceful, and initiative taking, can work independently and with mínimal supervision
- Ability to embrace change, continually improve processes and maintain confidentiality
- Professional attitude with exceptional organizational, prioritization, multi-tasking, time management, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
**_Education and Experience_**:
- Professional accounting designation required (CPA)
- Public practice experience is considered an asset
- 5+ years of post-designation experience in a senior finance role
- Experience in a multi company environment; significant intercompany transactions
- Thorough knowledge of accounting and corporate tax principles
- Advanced Microsoft Office
