From the team that brought you aware winning cocktail bar 'Laowai' (Canada's nest new bar - Canada's top 100), We are hiring for a new and exciting concept in historic Chinatown.

This concept will offer a unique experience and we are seeking talented and passionate hospitality individuals to join our opening team.

Line/Prep Cook

**Scope of the job**:
The line cook is motivated, results oriented and committed to providing outstanding guest service every day. Line cooks are responsible for running an efficient kitchen line before, during, and after service. Prep cooks are responsible for preparing recipes in an efficient manner while upholding quality and standards. They will work well individually and as part
of a team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare food items consistently and adhere to all recipe standards
- Plate menu items and quality check as instructed
- Maintain a safe working environment by using proper food handling skills and food safety guidelines
- Complete kitchen tasks such as line setup, food preparation, cleanup and breakdown
- Communicate clearly and professionally with staff and guests
- Successfully thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Work a flexible schedule as per business needs
- Have a valid food-safe certificate or working towards obtaining or renewing one
- Work with Production Supervisor to learn and properly execute recipes as instructed
- Assist with receiving and putting away orders.
- Ensure proper levels of mise en place are maintained, and learn where back ups are located
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment with FIFO rotation of products

**Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required**:

- 1+ year experience in food service/hospitality (preferred)
- Current Food Safe certificate preferred
- Desire to improve and learn on a daily basis
- Able to lift up to 25kg
- Ability to multi-task with good stress management
- Must be personable, friendly, and outgoing
- High energy and strong work ethic
- Must be able to work and communicate effectively with FOH department to ensure a good work culture
