**Job Summary**

Join our team as a Field Service Technician specializing in certifying and ensuring the optimal performance of critical ventilation systems and controlled environments.

Your journey with us will begin with a paid hands-on training program**,** where you will work closely with our experienced field service team to gain a deep understanding of our operations, tools, and processes. As you build your skills, you will gradually take on more testing and certification responsibilities, transitioning to full independence within approximately one year.

**Your Future Role**

Your role will involve testing and certifying ventilation systems for critical environments such as cleanrooms and hospitals, and laboratory workstations including biological safety cabinets, chemical fume hoods and other calibrated laboratory instruments such as incubators and centrifuges.

**Responsibilities**
- Conduct thorough testing, diagnostics, and certifications of laboratory biosafety and chemical safety ventilation equipment, devices and controlled environments, ensuring adherence to protocols and standards.
- Accurately document test results and prepare reports, ensuring timely submission for administrative review and client records.
- Troubleshoot and repair customer equipment, offering operational guidance and maintenance advice to customers as needed.
- Interact professionally with customers, addressing inquiries and concerns, and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Utilize available technical support from manufacturers or Con-Test technicians to troubleshoot field-related issues when necessary.
- Perform additional duties as required, including maintaining customer report files, ensuring proper operation and maintenance of testing equipment, and timely repairs.

**Qualifications**
- Knowledge of basic HVAC systems, electrical wiring and motor repair.
- Technical training or experience in HVAC, electrical or mechanical equipment is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently to solve problems.
- Ability to handle physical demands, including carrying, lifting and putting into place (sometimes overhead) fragile filters up to 80 lbs and size ranging from 24x24x12 inches to 48x72x12 inches.
- Ability to work overhead (above shoulder height), lifting and maneuvering equipment up to 250 lbs (very heavy equipment to be moved only with assistance of other workers and/or specialized moving/lifting equipment).
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for extended hours for service calls, including rural or remote locations.
- General mechanical aptitude and ability to understand and effectively use specialized testing instruments and equipment.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
- Comforatble working in various environments including confined spaces, secure facilities that require security clearances, highly sterilized environments requiring gowning and masking, and various manufacturing and research facilities.
- NSF49 Accreditation is a definite asset.
- College level mathematics is a definite asset.
