Technical Writer

**Technical Writer (Hybrid)** Are you interested in writing technical documentations for a software solutions company in the energy and utilities industry? If so, Survalent has a great opportunity for you We are looking for a Technical Writer to join the team. The Technical Writer will complete many technical documents for our internal customers including software development, proposals, product management and marketing. If this sounds like the right role for you, please read on to learn more about the position. **Responsibilities**: - Interact effectively with product development and product management teams. Get information by observing, reading, and obtaining information and other material from all relevant sources to become familiar with Survalent product technologies and development methods. - Write, edit, and format technical documents in accordance with appropriate specification, style, and branding for the end use requirements. Establish new, appropriate technical writing specifications as needed. Develop or maintain templates for documents. Maintain proper document management process, historical records and files of work and revisions. - Edit, standardize, make changes, or write up draft and finalized documents and materials prepared by others. Take "bullet points" from others and then write up the technical document. - Write original content for product promotional and training materials as required - As required, prepare and assist with preparation, coordination, copyediting, and proofing of large and small proposals - Develop and implement specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish the objectives - Complete additional writing project assignments as directed by management. - Other duties as required **Qualifications/Requirements**: - Bachelor’s degree required in English, Technical Writing, Journalism, Communications or a related field. - Experience and either a degree or knowledge in a specialized field - for example, engineering, IT, software industry is preferred. - Demonstrated knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of technical writing. - Ability to successfully interface with a diverse team - from development personnel up and including executives to ensure completion of required assignments. - Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe and publishing software. - Ability to work with little supervision. - Strong organizational skills to meet tight deadlines. - Action oriented with strong analytical skills. **About Us**: Survalent Technology Corporation is the leading provider of real-time smart grid management system for enabling visualization, optimization, and improved operations for utilities.
