GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
As a member of the Care Services Division management team and a clinical leader in the department, the Site Manager, Supportive Care is responsible and accountable for supervising the daily organization and administration of the department.

The Site Manager, Supportive Care provides program leadership and supervision in psychosocial oncology, nutritional services, and volunteer services in their site. This responsibility includes patient and family support services including social work, psychology, psychiatry, spiritual care, creative therapies, rehabilitation services and dietician services, palliative care services, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech and language pathology and volunteer services. Types of service commonly offered are decision support, advanced care planning, crisis intervention and supportive/nutritional counseling. The site manager ensures accountability measures are established and outcomes of services are measured and evaluated.

The Site Manager may be expected to act in the absence of the Director.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor of Social Work or Indigenous Social Work (MSW preferred)
- An equivalent combination of applicable education, training and experience
- Five years oncology and supervisory experience

Degrees, licensure, and/or certification:

- Licensed with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers

SKILLS:

- Demonstrated knowledge of community, social and health care programs
- Experience in research design statistics, psychosocial research methodologies and measurement
- Strong leadership, business and interpersonal proficiency.
- Ability to motivate and coach employees, teams and departments to achieve Agency goals and department objectives.
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with many individuals and groups including staff, students, unions and the general public.
- Knowledge of culturally responsive care for First Nations and Métis people.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Proven skills in leadership, management, interpersonal, oral and written communication including the ability to manage time, change and conflict.
- Advanced computer skills
