**Position Summary**

NCC continues to accelerate conservation in British Columbia by expanding its portfolio of private conservation lands and working collaboratively with partners to secure conservation outcomes on public land. The ownership and management of conservation lands, along with the acquisition and establishment of new conservation areas, gives rise to numerous responsibilities. The Program Assistant is a highly organized collaborator that will provide administrative and operational capacity to the Lands team in British Columbia, which will be essential in ensuring the team’s ability to work collaboratively and fulfill the various responsibilities that result from the acquisition and establishment, and ownership and stewardship of conservation lands in British Columbia.

**Key Responsibilities**

Administrative Support
- Supporting Directors and Managers in the Lands department with coordinating and overseeing scheduling
- Drafting, editing, formatting, and filing documents
- Coordinating execution of documents
- Scheduling and facilitating meetings, creating/editing agendas, and taking notes
- Organizing travel arrangements
- Maintaining subscriptions and administering systems used by Lands staff in BC (e.g., Garmin inReach and BCeID)
- Both independently, and in collaboration with others across various teams in BC, supporting the planning and coordination of in-person meetings, events (such as land tours, workshops), and training (e.g., annual all-staff gathering, stewardship and securement training)
- Coordinating responses to general Lands program-related external inquiries
- Supporting hiring processes and onboarding for the Lands team

Land and Project Information Support
- Supporting Lands staff with data entry and filing in the Land Information System, DAISY, Project Information Portal, and other platforms
- Compiling, summarizing, and distributing various conservation project and land-related information
- Supporting the development of resources for the Lands team
- Support queries, review, and data entry to support land administration program (e.g., tax assessment review, obtaining and filing documents from Land Title and Survey Authority)

Other related tasks and responding to priorities as assigned by their supervisor and the Senior Director of Conservation

**Position Requirements**
- Ability to work collaboratively and deliver administrative support to adynamic team that is dispersed across the province
- Strong communication (written, verbal, listening)
- Effective time management, coordination, and project management
- Attention to detail
- Ability to interpret and follow procedures
- Ability to navigate databases, and various online and software platforms
- Experience or interest in conservation or land management
