The Program Coordinator plays a key role in the development and implementation of life changing opportunities for the children and youth of our community

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**

The Program Coordinator will assist in implementing new initiatives, long-term goals and objectives to support the strategic direction of the organization. The PC will assist in the implementation of the evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and to identify areas for improvement. They will also assist in fund development to ensure the continuous delivery of services. Program Development Guide, the Policies and Procedures of the organization and relevant legislation.

**Some of your tasks will include**:

- **Program Management**_
- Assist in creating a safe and supportive environment that is inclusive to all
- Assist the Program Director in identifying and conceiving new program experience that provides intentional positive impact and life changing opportunities for our children, youth and families
- Assist PD with the Drop-in program calendar preparation along with staff
- Implement a program daily in our After-school child care (ex. Homework, Cooking, science)
- _Form a Youth Leadership Program to lead and empower children and youth in fund-raising activities, volunteer in the community and participate in community activities etc.
- **Community Engagement **_
- Help in planning and implementation of fundraisers
- Assist the Program Director to organize more purposeful planned community activities (ex. various holidays, haunted house, Pink Shirt Day etc.)

**Qualifications**
- **Education, requirements and skills**_
- _**Officially bilingual, French & English; oral, reading and writing**_
- _**Required to hold or obtain Class 4 small bus driver’s license within the first 6 months.**_
- Three to five years’ experience with children aged 5 to 18 in the Child & Youth field
- University or college degree in a related field or equivalency in knowledge and experience
- Experience planning and implementing programming for children and youth, asset if the experience includes working with cultural and social diversity
- Standard First Aid with CPR & AED
- Completed, with no contravention, Social Development Check & Vulnerable Criminal Record Check
- Use or ability to learn Microsoft Office 365 programs

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
