**Location**:Kingston, ON

**Job Summary**:
The Plant Operator will report to the Shift Supervisor and is responsible for various operating tasks associated with the operation of Li-Cycle’s lithium battery recycling plant. Applicant should be capable of completing a variety of manual tasks and have experience working within manufacturing or processing environments.

We are seeking a talented, motivated, and top performer to be a part of a smart and energetic team, as Li-Cycle commercializes its technology.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Handling of lithium ion batteries and associated products
- Perform a variety of manual tasks including, loading batteries into plant
- Minor maintenance activities, as required
- Cleaning of plant, ensuring the plant is kept is clean, safe working order
- Inspect and verify condition and weight of incoming/ outgoing materials
- Adhere to all workplace safety policies, regulations and compliance legislation
- Other duties as assigned

**Job Qualifications**:
**Education and Experience**:

- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- 2 years of experience working in similar manufacturing/ processing environment
- Experience with routine maintenance operations
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Able to work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- Computer literate
- Professional appearance and manners
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

**Working Conditions**:

- 24/7 availability shift rotation may be required
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lb
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
- Overtime as required
- Exposure to shop-floor and loading hazards
- May be exposed to construction site
